Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding Dress Appointment Questions

Do I need to have an appointment to try on wedding dresses?

We require appointments to provide the one-on-one attention you deserve! If you are in the area unexpectedly, always feel free to stop in or call last minute. We do the best we can to accommodate walk-ins or last-minute inquiries. However, Saturdays are commonly booked two weeks in advance.

How long will my appointment last?

Each wedding dress appointment is 90 minutes long. Appointments are structured to provide a consultation period and store tour at the start of your appointment, followed by selecting six to eight styles that help narrow you to finding your dream gown. Your personal stylist will assist you in the fitting room, as well as properly demonstrating the fit of each dress, and styling you to your specifications.

What is the price range of your wedding dresses?

Our new order wedding dresses range from $900 to $3,500. At the start of each appointment, your stylist will ask your budget to respectfully work within your budget. Transparency is extremely important to us. If your dress selection requires additional fees or add-ons, we will disclose that before your final decision is made. (Please note: alteration costs are not budgeted in the price of our dresses)

How long do wedding dresses take to come in after they are ordered?

Standard ordering time is approximately four to five months for a wedding dress to arrive. Longer estimates are considered during select trunk shows, and custom Martina Liana orders.

Once the dress arrives, you want to allow two to three months for alterations. We recommend having a wedding dress ordered at least nine months prior to your wedding date. However, having a wedding dress ordered ten to twelve months in advance is common. If a shorter time frame is upon you, rush and off the rack options are available.

What is your wedding dress off the rack selection?

For quicker wear dates or budgets under $1,000, make an appointment to see the off the rack selection. From our year-round selection, brides can find a variety of styles ranging in sizes 10 – 22 that can be purchased and brought home that day. In addition, most are priced under $1,000, starting as low as $99. The selection is always changing, but on average there are over 40, on trend styles to choose from.

What size wedding dress samples do you have in store?

Our samples range from sizes 8 – 26. The average selection is 10 – 14. Our plus size selection is continuously growing, but currently over 30 styles will be found in sizing 18 – 26. If in-store samples are too large or too small for your body size, our trained stylists will either clip the gown tighter or insert privacy panels for additional back closure.

Should I wear specific undergarments?

For sanitation purposes, please always wear a form of panties. In addition, we provide on-site strapless bras upon request. However, we encourage each bride to bring any specific undergarments that will be worn the day of the wedding. This will better view each fit and silhouette of the dress in accordance to your undergarments. Robes will be available to you in the fitting rooms, so you can feel covered and comfortable when needed.

How many guests should I bring with me to my appointment?

This is perhaps our most common question, and rightfully so! Ultimately we want to make sure your shopping experience is memorable and shared by those that mean the most to you. We will never limit you on the number of guests that accompany you, but acknowledge the spacing in each viewing area.

Our largest viewing area seats up to four guests comfortably. However, as long as additional guests are comfortable with standing room, we make it work! If your appointment is on a week day or night, we might be able to accommodate additional seating. However, Saturday appointments, furniture cannot be adjusted.

When deciding on who should attend your appointment, always remember – Whose opinions are most important? Who do you want standing by your side in your “Said Yes” photo?

What designers do you carry?

We are a proud retailer of Essense of Australia, Stella York, Martina Liana, Kenneth Winston and Ella Rosa. As of July 2019, we are excited to announce our exclusive designer Belle Amie — a private label found at Raffiné Bridal. October 2019, stay tuned for our new Boho inspired collecton.
